What’s up witches?!? Happy October! This is my favorite month and in celebration I decided to launch a Bewitch Your Life Youtube channel! Although I have been planning to do this for a long time I actually have no idea what I’m doing – I have never really made any videos before. But I feel this overwhelming need to get magical messages of love and positivity out to the world and I’m super stoked to have a new platform to do it. My first ever video is up, and I’m not gonna lie, it’s cheesy! It’s goofy! It’s definitely lighthearted. But if you want to turn your everyday life into a more magical adventure, give it a watch! I’ve been a busy witch lately, and like most of us, I have no shortage of responsibilities to keep up with! I’ve noticed that my day-to-day routine keeps me constantly occupied and although I am glad to never feel bored, I have been left with precious little free time for my magical endeavors. I’m sure many can relate — although it would be nice to always be able to set aside a scheduled moment for spiritual reflection, it doesn’t always seem possible. Sometimes we ache to delve into our inner work but can’t set aside more than a moment. So how can we squeeze in a little magic without any wiggle room? You don’t need any extra time or materials — a bit of creativity is all you need to create a magical meditation space anytime, anywhere!
Have you ever heard a snippet of a random conversation from passers-by and caught a few words that seem relevant to your life? Have you ever come across something while lost in thought and said to yourself, that’s a sign? You are onto something when this happens — in fact, you are practicing what I like to call “passive divination.” You are tapping into your intuition using your senses, and the more you stay aware of it, the better you’ll get. So let’s talk about it!

It’s a rare and enchanting occurrence and the perfect time to do some inner work. We still have the whole week to prepare, so what better way to hype yourself up than to brush up on some mystical knowledge?
Welcome back, my magical friends! This week’s first topic is a bit less lighthearted than the last, but still super fun, I promise! We’re covering one of my favorite ways to get and stay motivated: personal mantras. There are so many different ways that life can get tough. You might be doing your best, but not every issue is instantly fixable. Sometimes you need a super accessible reminder that will keep you focused on your goals and prevent you from losing that inner fire you need to stay passionate. That’s where a personal mantra comes in! Read on for what a personal mantra is, why it will help you, and how to use it to get the most out of your life!
Whether you’re a seasoned tarot reader or someone who is brand new to your tarot deck, this “tarot battle” exercise is designed to help you discover more about yourself and your cards while also potentially helping you remove mental blocks that prevent you from solving seemingly insurmountable obstacles. This can be performed with any tarot deck — today I am using the Rider-Waite deck because it is super clear and easily interpreted, but I have found many others that I love. Feel free to use whatever inspires you most.
While it is great to draw a card at random from your deck, it is super beneficial to take a good look through your cards and get to know them by seeing them all as they are. You can work with them by choosing certain cards that resonate with your current state of mind; it doesn’t take away the magic to pick intentionally, I promise! It will actually deepen your understanding of the super relatable parts of life that they represent.
So if you’re going through something — perhaps a problem that is hard to solve or even difficult to begin to think of a solution to — pick out a card that most symbolizes what you are going through. The cards are dramatic as hell, so please don’t be afraid to pick what resonates with you at this time, even if it’s a bit of a stretch. Tarot is all about symbolic associations so universal that they work on a subliminal level, helping you find answers within yourself that you may not have been able to reach on your own.

This can be as life-altering or as lighthearted as you care to think of it. Aside from all the folklore and fabled magical properties, the true power of a crystal is that it triggers an association in your mind with the characteristics it represents. It is a tangible reminder of what you’re choosing to invite more of into your life. You can hold it and behold it, you can see it and believe in it. But ultimately the qualities being brought to the surface are qualities already in you. Sometimes you just need to make things feel a little more magical to see it.
Since we are about to roll into a brand new week I figured I’d share my favorite witchy morning practice to start the day off right! Think of this as a super efficient mini mindfulness meditation designed to set your intentions for the day. Whether you have five minutes or no minutes, this easy yet effective routine can be snuck into even the most hectic of mornings and will help hone your focus on whatever it is you need to accomplish!
